A new beginning

Among the things I would like to do for a much needed reinvigoration of mind and body is to create more. I see this manifesting itself in photography, music, art, and writing. Hopefully this can be a medium for all those things and more.

I have entitled the blog A Mercury Sunrise, after a painting I did two years ago. I painted a considerable amount in those days and hope to return to that sort of productivity.

I have been doing astrophotography for my astronomy class recently and I am truly enjoying it. Here are the two shots that I am most proud of:

    I really like the sunset photo and the star photos are beautiful too! "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge." (Psalm 19:1,2) Thanks for sharing these photos! You did a great job capturing the beauty and wonder both day and night!
